Nous sommes entrés aux Etats-Unis un samedi soir après être parti des chutes de Niagara et avoir roulé toute la journée. Juste après la frontière, nous sommes allés dans un petit village pour trouver un endroit pour dormir et nous avons vu une fête foraine. Nous avons pu y aller, c’était trop bien, on a fait plein de manèges.

Capitale: Washington ( nous ne l’avons pas visitée car ça faisait beaucoup trop de route, c’est juste en dessous de New York)

Particularités: pays très très très grand. Mais Moins grand que le Canada, qui est juste au-dessus, ou nous étions. Il est divisé en différents états (50 en tout). Pour cette première partie de découverte nous avons traversé 7 états (Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota et Wyoming)
Ce qu’on a vu
– des mouflons (dans le parc de Badlands)
– des bisons, il y en a dans tous les parcs que nous avons visités (Badlands et Custer State Park), il y en a qui sont tout seul mais le plus souvent ils sont en grand groupe avec des bébés.
– des daims (des dizaines sur le bord de la route en allant au parc de Devils Tower)
– des antilopes
– des souris qui ressemble à des écureuils, ou l’inverse…
– des parcs nationaux (Badlands, Custer state parc, Devils Tower), on rempli des cahiers pour avoir une médaille de Junior Ranger.
– des « fairs », ce sont des foires avec des stands, des animaux de ferme et des manèges. Il y avait même un cirque en plein air dans celle-ci.
– Chicago, que l’on appelait avant « la ville du crime »
Ce qu’on a mangé
– Dans les restaurants: c’est pizza ou hamburger. Les américains mangent des grandes quantités, on prend un soda pour tous car les gobelets sont très grands. Ils mangent à n’importe qu’elle heure de la journée.
– On fait souvent nos courses dans un très grand magasin qui s’appelle Walmart, des fois il est ouvert toute la nuit. Les gens peuvent faire leur course pendant qu’on dort.
– Tout est très sucré, même les cornichons et la moutarde!
– Dans le camping-car: c’est barbecue, salade de riz, sandwich, fruits, légumes…
– On a mangé des shamallows avec du chocolat et crakers sucré cuits sur notre feu de camp (c’est une spécialité américaine).
L’école
On a fini nos passeports de vacances et maintenant nous avons commencé les évaluations de rentrée et c’est beaucoup moins drôle.
Les activités
– On s’est entraîné à lancer le lasso autour de la tête d’un taureau (un faux)
– Randonnées dans les parcs: nous avons beaucoup marché dans les parcs nationaux
– Beaucoup de routes toutes droites avant d’arriver aux parcs
– Ramassage du bois dans la foret pour faire des feux de camp le soir
– Assister à un rodéo

On a vu des copains belges, qui ne parlaient pas français mais on s’est bien amusé. J’ai beaucoup aimé le paysage quand on a été voir les bisons. Il y en a même qui ont traversé la route juste devant le camping-car et papa était dehors.

On a coupé du bois sur les arbres pour faire un joli feu avec des copains belges que nous avons rencontrés dans un parc. Ensuite on a fait cuire les shamallow mais je n’aime pas trop et j’ai juste mangé le chocolat et les crackers. Au rodéo il y avait un clown qui nous faisait rire et on a vu des enfants sur les taureaux.
