Récapitulatif de notre séjour au Canada du 07 juillet au 29 juillet 2017
Devises : 1 $CAD = 0,852 euros au 29 juillet 2017
Durée du séjour : 22 jours
Distance parcourue: 4371 km de route entre Halifax et Sarnia
Les dépenses moyennes : 98 $CAD/jour
Le réseau routier : Belles routes en général. Autoroutes non payantes sauf l’express qui traverse Ontario, mais la facture se fait a la lecture des plaques d’immatriculation, et notre plaque n’a peut être pas été identifiée 😉
Les bivouacs : Nous avons fait 4 nuits en camping, 3 nuits sur un parking Wal-Mart et le reste en nature, à coté d’églises ou de bâtiments publics. Peu de bivouacs avec ioverlander.
Le Gasoils : Il n’y en a pas dans toutes les stations, il faut bien vérifier que le Gasoil soit spécifié sur l’enseigne. Nous avons payé en moyenne 1,08 $ CAD
Eau et Vidange (Dump Station) : Très bien indiqué sur ioverlander. Nous faisions le pleins d’eau tous les 4-5 jours.
Sécurité : Aucun problème
Les parcs Nationaux : Il y en a énormément au Canada et il a fallu choisir. L’entrée est payante sauf pour certains, gratuits cette année pour les 150 ans des parcs nationaux. Les campings sont obligatoires si l’ont veut dormir à l’intérieur des parcs. Nous en avons fait 3 (Le Fjord du Saguenay, La Mauricie et Les milles iles). Tous sont magnifiques et très bien aménagés.
Les rencontres : Nous avons rencontré deux familles voyageuses: « lemondea4 » et « veryfamillytrip », qui font le tour du monde durant 1 an en mode backpacker. Nous avons également rencontré la famille Turgeon, qui nous a accueilli quelques jours chez elle, et avons partagé leur expérience de l’Amérique centrale.
Le passage de la douane Canada/USA : Nous sommes passés par la frontière de Sarnia (au-dessus de Détroit), il y a habituellement 4000 camions/jours. Belle route jusqu’à la frontière et 4$CAD de péage. Le passage s’est fait en un temps record: 15 minutes! Nous y étions le samedi vers 18h, il n’y avait pas de camion, ceci explique peut-être cela!

- la gentillesse des canadiens
- L’accueil
- L’espace
- des villes horizontales et non verticales comme en france
- Les parcs nationaux
- les chutes du Niagara (Notre coup de cœur)
Ce qu’on a moins aimé :
- les moustiques, il y en a partout
- le wifi, très difficile à trouver
